Hester, Leo
The funeral for Leo Hester of Scott City will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church in Scott City. The Rev. Randy Morse will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Hester, 70, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in Scott City.
He was born June 25, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, son of Leon and Lela Muriel Lincoln Hester. He and Rose Anna Brashear were married July 15, 1966, in Cape Girardeau. She died Feb. 3, 1976.
Hester moved to Scott City 20 years ago from Cape Girardeau. He had been an over-the-road truck driver.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include two brothers, Ralph Hester of Oklahoma City, Okla., Doug Hester of Scott City; two sisters, Winifred Ferris of Lompoc, Calif., and Dorothy Hamer of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
