Hitt, Myrtle A. (nee Baugh)

Mrs. Myrtle Hitt, wife of Ernest Hitt, living three miles east of Gordonville, died Monday night. She contracted influenza some three weeks ago which developed into pneumonia.

Mrs. Hitt was a daughter of Frank Baugh of Hot Springs, Ark., and was born and reared in Jackson. She was 36 years, 8 months and 3 days old and lived here practically all her life. She united in marriage with Ernest Hitt some 15 years ago in Memphis, Tenn., and for the past few years has resided on a farm.

She was a member of the Baptist Church and a devout Christian. Her loss is to be deplored, not only because she was taken in the prime of life, but because her death removes a mother from a household of six children, the oldest of whom is but 13 years of age, and the youngest 17 months.

She is survived by her husband, children, father and one brother, Clyde Baugh of Jackson. The children are Evelyn, Wesley, Harold, Kenneth, Samuel and John.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Jackson Wednesday afternoon with interment in the Russell Heights Cemetery.

Obituary found at the Find A Grave website and was printed in the Cashbook newspaper, Jackson, Missouri.
