Hoeckele, Paul H., Sr.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 4th, 2001 for 91-year-old Paul H. Hoeckele Sr. of Perryville who died Sunday, July 1st at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born May 18th, 1910 in Jackson, the son of Charles and Sarah (Masterson) Hoeckele who both preceded him in death.

He married Rosella "Sally" Heisserer in 1932. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Paul H. Hoeckele Jr. and one daughter, Patricia A. Wingerter, both of Perryville.

He is also survived by two sisters: Margaret Wilson of Anaheim, California and Helen Lancaster of St. Louis.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

He was the owner and operator of Hoeckele's Bakery and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Sportsman's Club and an American Legion booster.

He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Sarah Wingerter and John Hoeckele; two brothers, Franklin and Joseph; and four sisters, Anna, Lula, Clara and Marie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 3rd between 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 4th between 6:30-9:40 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday and the Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 91-year-old Paul H. Hoeckele Sr. will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 4th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be at the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent School System or Southeast Missouri Hospice
