Hoehn, Meta A. (nee Weber)

Meta A. Hoehn, 83, of Perryville, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Nov. 16, 1923, in Frohna, Mo., daughter of Paul and Emma (Richter) Weber. She married Melvin A. Hoehn Oct. 23, 1948, in Perryville. Hoehn retired after working as a health-care worker for 30 years at Perry County Memorial Hospital...

A funeral will be held Tuesday, February 27th, 2007 for 83-year-old Meta A. Hoehn of Perryville, who died Saturday, February 24th at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born November 16th, 1923 in Frohna, the daughter of Paul and Emma (Richter) Weber, who both preceded her in death.

She married Melvin A. Hoehn on October 23th, 1948. He survives in Perryville.

She is also survived by a son and daughter in law, John and Erin Hoehn of Perryville; four brothers and four sisters in law, Ruben and Wilma Weber of Perryville, Melvin and Rose Weber of Perryville, Harlen and Jane Weber of Jackson and Richard and Margaret Weber of Perryville; two sisters and a brother in law, Sylvia Meyer of Perryville and Lorna and Larry Steffens of Frohna; and three grandchildren, Justin, Kate and Kelsey Hoehn.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Leimbach.

She retired after 30 years as a healthcare worker at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary, and a volunteer at both the Perry County Memorial Hospital and Perry County Nursing Home, all in Perryville.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. this (Monday, February 26th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 27th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 83-year-old Meta A. Hoehn of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 27th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School or to the Kidney Foundation.
