PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Francis J. Hoernig, 86, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at his home. He was born May 4, 1915, in Advance, Mo., son of August and Anna Greuel Hoernig. He and Mildred Unterreiner were married Jan. 19, 1952, at Biehle, Mo. Hoernig had been a factory worker and farmed. A funeral will be held Saturday, April 13th, 2002 for 86-year-old Francis J. Hoernig, who died Wednesday, April 10th at his home.
He was born May 4th, 1915 in Advance, the son of August Hoernig and Anna Greuel Hoernig. They both preceded him in death.
He married Mildred Unterreiner on January 19th, 1952 in Biehle. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters: Kay Noll of Winchester, KS and Lucy Schelzbaum of Atchison, KS. One son, Bernard, survives in Perryville.
Four sisters also survive: Dorothea Schumer, Christina Hoernig and Bernadina Hoernig - all of Perryville; and Anna Macke of Toledo, OH. Two brothers, Leonard of St. Louis and Father Alphonse Hoernig of Perryville also survive.
He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two children, two brothers and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, April 12th from 4-9 p.m. at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation also Saturday morning from 6:30-9:30 at the funeral home. There will be Parish prayers Friday night at 6 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
A funeral for 86-year-old Francis J. Hoernig will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. Burial in the St. Maurus Cemetery. The Reverends Alphonse Hoernig, C.M. and Mark Bozada, C.M. will co-preside.
Memorials may be made to Masses or St. Maurus Church.
