Hoffman, Calvin Joseph, Sr.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Calvin J. Hoffman Sr., 58, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Dec. 23, 1951, in Perry County, son of Eli and Rosella Balsman Hoffman.
Calvin was a truck driver with Buchheit's 20 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include two sons, Bryan Hoffman of Perryville, Calvin J. Hoffman Jr. of Missouri; a daughter, Bridget Downey of Perryville; a brother, Donald Hoffman of Perryville; a sister, Nancy Pohlman of Perryville; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 tonight.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
