Hoffman, Thomas E.
A funeral will be held Saturday, January 15, 2000 for 84-year-old Thomas E. Hoffman of Perryville who died Thursday, January 13th at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 7th, 1915 in Perry County, the son of Lawrence Hoffman and Ida Schindler Hoffman who both preceded in death.
He married Loretta A. Buerck on August 31st, 1946 in Belgique. She survives in Perryville.
Two sons also survive him: Gary Hoffman of Gordonville and Kevin Hoffman of St. Louis. One daughter also survives: Donna Fischer of Lake Ozark.
A brother also survives him: Elvis Hoffman of Gernada, Texas.
A brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.
He worked in construction before his retirement.
He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, the Holy Name Society, and was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be from 5-9 this Friday evening and from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake with the Knights of Columbus will be held this evening at 7. Rosary will be at 9 a.m. Saturday.
A funeral mass for 84-year-old Thomas E. Hoffman of Perryville will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope cemetery. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M. will officiate.
