Hoosier, Jessie Marie (nee Cook)
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Jessie Marie Hoosier, 83, of Advance passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009, at her home.
She was born March 28, 1926, in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of Willis and Laura Stephens Cook. She and Jesse Hoosier were united in marriage June 9, 1944, at Bloomfield, Mo. He preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1980.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Mashek of Farmington, Mo., Arvetta Freeman of Advance; a daughter-in-law, Connie Hoosier of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Milford Cook of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters, Opal Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, Myrtle Davis of Jonesboro, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Karen Jarvis, Teresa Bohn, Brad Mashek, Stephanie Moser, Scott Howard, Brandon Hoosier and Amy Thompson; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald Hoosier; a grandchild, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Gill officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
