Horn, Frank Warren

Frank W. Horn, aged 68, of Bessville, Mo. died October 24, 1944 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital of a kidney and heart ailment. Mr. Horn was born in Bollinger County, Mo., July 16, 1876.

In December 1905, he was married to Minnie Crites of Daisy, Mo. She preceded him in death December 22, 1914. In August of 1931, he was married to Mrs. Lula Patton, of near Bessville.

Surviving are his wife, three sons; Robert M. Horn of Flint, Michigan; Fred S. Horn of Greenville, Michigan; Pvt. David B. Horn of Camp Gruber, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde A. Arms of San Antonio, Tex. and Mrs. Willis Stovall, both of Cape Girardeau and a sister, Mrs. Nellie M. Poe of Arbyrd. Another son, Paul E. Clippard died five years ago. There are also four surviving stepchildren: Mrs. Wm. Devenport of St. Louis; Mrs. Silas Rhodes of Bessville; Mrs, Charles Filer of Jefferson City, and Zelma Crites of Jonesboro, Arkansas; also, seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Hurrican Fork Church Wednesday, October 25, by Rev. J. W. Fowler, assisted by Rev. Frank Moss. Burial was in the church cemetery with Baker services.

(2nd article, Oct. 26, duplicates above with the following exception.) Mr. Horn was born in Cape Girardeau County, July 10, 1876, but moved to this county several years ago and operated a store at Laflin. Thirteen years ago, he sold his store and bought a place on Hwy. 51 north of Marble Hill where he operated a store.
