PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Angela M. Hotop, 23, of Perryville died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 4, 1982, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of David M. and Joan M. Schnurbusch Hotop. Hotop worked in fund development at Saint Francis and was a writer for the News Bureau at Southeast Missouri State University, where she was a graduate student. A funeral will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2006 for 23-year-old Angela M. Hotop of Perryville who died Tuesday at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 4th, 1982 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of David M. and Joan M. (Schnurbusch) Hotop, who survived in Perryville.
She is also survived by three brothers, Michael, Mark and Matthew Hotop all of Perryville; a sister, Allison Hotop of Perryville; her maternal grandmother, Rose (Gibbar) Schnurbusch of Perryville and numerous aunts, uncles and a special friend, Travis Unterreiner.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Norbert and Edna (Bohnert) Hotop and her maternal grandfather, Wallace Schnurbusch.
She was employed in Fund Development at St.Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She also wrote for the Southeast Missouri State University news bureau and was a graduate student at the university. She was previously employed at Hoeckele's Bakery in Perryville.
She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, a 2000 graduate of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic High School where she was the valedictorian. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in May 2005 from Southeast Missouri State University. She had a 4.0 grade point average.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Friday, May 5th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6th at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 23-year-old Angela M. Hotop of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz C.M. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Schools or to masses.
