A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 6th, 2004 for 91-year-old Walter W. Hotop of Perryville, who died Friday, April 2nd at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

He was born August 5th, 1912 in Biehle, the son of William J. and Emma (Balsman) Hotop, who both preceded him in death.

He married Trudie H. Hoffman on August 5th, 1935. She survives in Perryville.

Survivors also include: one daughter and son in law, Mary Alice and Randy Ryan of Burbank, Washington; and two grandchildren, Brent Ryan and Aaron Nolan.

A daughter, Peggy Ann Nolan; an infant son; a brother, Leon Hotop and two sisters, Evelyn Cento and Louella Thomure also preceded him in death.

He was a retired boilermaker for American Standard. He was also a livestock and agriculture farmer.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. this (Monday, April 5th) afternoon and evening and 6:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 this (Monday, April 5th) evening at the funeral home.

The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 91-year-old Walter W. Hotop of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School or Church.
