PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Shirley A. Huber, 78, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Andrew and Philomena Ponder Winschel. She and Weldon Joseph Huber were married June 16, 1954. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1986...

A funeral will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 for 78-year-old Shirley A. Huber of Perryville who died February 25, 2014 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born August 20, 1935 in Perry County, the daughter of Andrew and Philomena (Ponder) Winschel who both preceded her in death.

She married Weldon Joseph Huber on June 16, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1986.

She is survived by a son and six daughters: Richard Huber of Moscow Mills, Connie Huber (Laura Muir) of St. Louis, Susan (Gary) Wibbenmeyer of Cape Girardeau, Cynthia (Gary) Stucker of Odessa, Jacqueline (Charles) Robinson of Perryville, Elizabeth Huber of Raymore, and Carolyn (Cory) Gegg of Wildwood; two sisters: Lorraine Timmerman of New York and Marie Hayden of Perryville; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Mary Alice (Stephenson) Huber; three brothers: Linus, Cletus and Gilbert Winschel; three sisters: Ursula Michaud, Veronica Butler and Rita Richardet and a grandson: Nathan Wibbenmeyer.

Shirley was a home maker.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, St. Vincent Ladies Sodality, St. Vincent High School alumni in Perryville, Mental Disability Disorders Association, Boy Scouts of America and Lifetime Girl Scouts of America

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday, February 27 and 6:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, February 28 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 78-year-old Shirley A. Huber of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald Blessing will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association or to the Nathan Wibbenmeyer Tuition Scholarship Fund at Norte Dame Regional High School.
