Hughey, Fred C.
Funeral service will be held Monday, May 7, 2001 for 87-year-old Fred C. Hughey of Perryville who died Friday, May 4 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1913 in Seventy Six, Mo., the son of the late Joseph Frank and Bertha (Truitt) Hughey.
He was married to Geraldine Bangert on April 5, 1947. She survives in Perryville.
Children surviving are Gail Ochs of Cape Girardeau; Sandra Picou of Ozora; Brenda George of Calhoun; and Larry Hughey of Clinton, Ok.
Ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
One daughter, Barbara; four brothers, John, Lester, Loyd, and Joseph Hughey; one sister, Leanora Hoehn; one grandson, Nathan Picou; and two infant brothers preceded him in death.
He was a retired diesel mechanic from Mississippi Lime Company in Ste. Genevieve. He was a member of the American Legion Post 133 and the Quarry Workers Union at Mississippi Lime.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 6 from 4-9 p.m. and Monday, May 7 from 6:30-10:00 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service for Fred C. Hughey will be held Monday, May 7, 2001 at 10 a.m. Rev. Dennis Cebulak will officiate. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery.
Memorial preference is to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Perryville.
