Hunt, Alma Kathleen (nee Burns)
A funeral will be held Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003 for 82-year-old Alma Kathleen "Kathy" Hunt of Perryville who died Saturday, September 20th at the Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born December 19th, 1920 in Hamlin, West Virginia, the daughter of David M. and Eva Mae Adkins Burns who both preceded her in death.
She married Floyd Hunt on November 14th, 1949 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a son and daughter in law, John and Jackie Hunt of Chesterfield; a daughter and son in law; Anna and Troy Kiefer Jr. of Perryville; two sisters, Edith Burns and Marvine Keesee, both of Huntington, West Virginia; four grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher and Natalie Hunt of St. Peters, Jennifer and Jack Gladbech of Camdenton, Matthew Kiefer of St. Louis and Amy and Brian Miesner of Perryville; three great grandchildren, Christopher Kyle Hunt, Andrew Paul Hunt and Jonathon Ford Hunt, all of St. Peters.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, five brothers, and a grandson, Nathan Paul Kiefer.
She was a waitress at the Intersection Restaurant, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
Visitation will be 4-9 this (Monday, September 22nd) afternoon and evening and 6:30-11:20 a.m. Tuesday, September 23rd at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The Daughters of Isabella will gather at the funeral home at 7 this evening for the parish wake. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A funeral mass for 82-year-old Alma Kathleen "Kathy" Hunt of Perryville will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23rd at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, C.M., will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul School system or to the Salvation Army.
