Hunter, Janice Kaye (nee Hendrix)
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Janice Kaye Hunter, 66, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Cletis Izer and Thelma D. Gobble Hendrix. She and Jim Hunter Jr. were married Nov. 29, 1974.
Janice retired from Chaffee Head Start. She was a member of Chaffee General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim of the home; two daughters, Laura Perdue of Adelaide, Australia, and Amanda (Jim) Dooley of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Olivia and Bryce Horrell and Will Hunter of Chaffee; and a sister, Anna Lee Morgan of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until time of service Saturday at Chaffee General Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Private burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
