James, Clemo Harold

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Clemo Harold James, 84, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at his residence.

He was born in Lutesville, Mo., the son of Noah W. and Holly Jane Eaker James. He married Hazel L. Elledge on Nov. 9, 1940, in Sank, Mo. She survives.

He was a retired U.S. Postal mail carrier.

He was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a worthy patron of Eastern Star, a past master of Trowell Lodge 440, a past member of the Bollinger County Special Road District and a former Realtor for Strout Realty in Lutesville.

He is also survived by a daughter, Janet Fortenberry of Marble Hill; a son, John James of Marble Hill; three grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Parthine Cazzad of Moro, Ill.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Lloyd Green and Raymond Armstrong officiating.

Burial will be at Cane Creek Cemetery.
