SILVER LAKE, Mo. -- Joseph A. Jannin Jr., 81, of Silver Lake died Sunday, May 17, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 9:10 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and the rosary will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday...

A funeral will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 for 81-year-old Joseph A. Jannin Jr. of Silver Lake, who died May 17, 2015 at his residence.

He was born December 30, 1933 in Perry County, the son of Joseph A. and Anastasia "Annie" (Gibbar) Jannin Sr. who both preceded him in death.

He married Peggy M. Christ May 24. 1958. She survives in Silver Lake.

He is also survived by two daughters and two sons: Lora (Darrell) Roth of Perryville, Randy W. (Renee) Jannin of Silver Lake, Daniel (Lydia Hotop) Jannin of Silver Lake, Linda (Jason) Anderson of Silver Lake, 10 grandchildren: Angela (Chris) Peeler, Amy (Ryan) Moeckel, Kaci (Justin) Jokerst, Krista Schremp, Brent Roth, Nicole Jannin, Kyle Jannin, Trevor Martin, Jaylyn Anderson and Jarrett Anderson and five great grandchildren: Ty Peeler, Aly Peeler, Boston Tarrillion, River Jokerst and Journi Jokerst.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Carol Ann; a son: David Jannin; a grandson in law; Justin Jokerst and a great granddaughter: June Daniel Jokerst.

Joseph was a farmer and a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20th and 6:30-9:10 a.m. Thursday, May 21st at Young & Sons Funeral Home. The rosary will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 81-year-old Joseph A. Jannin Jr. of Silver Lake will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake. The Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer CM will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
