Jannin, Mary Etheline (nee Gibbar)
Funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 18, 2000 for 74-year-old Etheline Jannin of Perryville who died Friday, Dec. 15 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1925 in Silver Lake, Mo., the daughter of the late Louis and Mary McLain Gibbar.
She was married to Lester Jannin who survives in Perryville.
Two children survive, Harold Jannin and Roger Jannin, both of Silver Lake.
Three sisters survive, Rosemary Layton, Lucille Jannin and Pearl Doll, all of Silver Lake.
Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
One brother, Albert Gibbar, and two sisters, Hazel Whistler and Eda Richardet, preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake, Ladies Sodality and cooked for quilting committee.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 17 from 3-9 p.m. and on Monday, Dec. 18 from 6:30-9:00 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Catholic wake service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass for Etheline Jannin will be held Monday, Dec. 18, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver lake. Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate. Burial in the church cemetery.
Memorial preference is to Masses.
