Johnson, Ellen Ethel (nee Statler)
Johnson, Ellen E. 92, formerly 52 year resident of Hanley Hills, died
Thursday, September 17.
She was born April 1, 1917 in Patton, MO to Joseph and Mary Statler, and graduated from
Patton High School.
During the war she worked in defense plants in Oklahoma, California and St. Louis. She
also worked at Wagner Electric and as a seamstress and later for Land Title Insurance.
She was an active member at Kingsland Memorial Presbyterian Church and later at Brentwood
Bible Church in St. Louis.
Beloved wife of the late L. Raymond, loving mother of Sue (Tom) Newsom, dear sister-in-law
and aunt. Services: Funeral Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 A.M. at Brentwood Bible Church,
8820 Lawn Ave. in St. Louis. Visitation 10 to 11 A.M. Interment Valhalla Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the church.
