Johnson, JoAnn (nee Rendleman)
PAINTON, Mo. -- JoAnn R. Johnson, 82, of Painton passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 6, 1931, at Messler, Mo., daughter of Gabe and Georgia Goodman Rendleman. She and John F. Johnson Sr. were married July 15, 1950, at Bell City, Mo.
JoAnn owned Cow Hill Farms with her husband. She was a member of Bell City United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Stoddard County Extension Club. She had been a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, John (Pat) Johnson of Advance, Mo., and Michael (Jackie) Johnson of Painton; two daughters, Patty Sue (Kurt) Kamp of Patton, Mo., and Ella (Kevin) Hughes of Benton, Mo.; a sister, Virginia Jenkins of Advance; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of service Friday at Bell City United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Sue Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of arrangements.
