Johnson, Lee Ray

Lee Ray Johnson son of the late Mae Lee Johnson and Albert Johnson was born in Yount, Missouri, on September 14, 1930. He departed this life at his residence in Ellington, Missouri, on May 22, 2009, having attained the age of 78 years, eight months and eight days.

On May 2, 1954 in Farmington, Missouri, Ray was united in marriage to Nancy Graves and to this loving union four children were born. Ray was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Lesterville V.F.W. and he served on the Board of 1st State Community Bank. Ray loved to fly and do woodworking projects, having made all the great-grandchildren rocking chairs. He enjoyed working on clocks and working in his yard. Ray loved going for rides and spending time with his special dog Hans.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mae Johnson.

Ray is survived by his wife Nancy Johnson of Ellington, his children, Mike Johnson and wife Susie of Centerville, Deb Rayfield and husband Bill of Ellington, Cathy Hill and husband Don of Highlands, TX, Andie Baker and husband Keith of Centerville, and his favorite kid, his dog Hans Von Johnson III, one sister, Doris Cook and husband Joe of Holly Springs, MS, eight grandchildren, Beth, Chris, Dea, Megan, Leslie, Drew, Patti and Catey, six great-grandchildren, Brett, Rylee, Austin, Kyle, Will and Blake. Ray will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.

Visitation: Mon. 4 to 8 P.M.

Funeral Services: Tues. May 26, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.
