PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leslie H. Johnson, 84, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at his residence.

He was born July 14, 1927, in Alliance, Mo., son of James D. and Ethel Doggett Johnson. He and Dorothy Conrad were married Dec. 6, 1947. She survives in Perryville.

Mr. Johnson was the bulk plant manager for MFA Oil. He was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 133, Masonic Lodge 670 and Eastern Star Chapter 46, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Bill) Cottner and Nancy Cottner, both of Perryville; two brothers, Lancy Johnson of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Lawrence Johnson of Sedgewickville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Justin Cottner of Cape Girardeau, Kyle Cottner of St. Louis, Kristopher Cottner of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Desirae Cottner, both of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lester; two sisters, Gladys Smith and Hazel Johnson.

Friends may call 4 to 9 p.m. today, with Masonic service at 7 p.m., and from 6:30 until time of service Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Greg Dowler will officiate.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Home Cemetery with military graveside service provided by the American Legion Post 133 and Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association.

A funeral will be held Saturday, December 17th, 2011 for 84-year-old Leslie H. Johnson of Perryville, who died Thursday, December 15th, 2011 at his home.

He married Dorothy Conrad December 6th, 1947. She survives in Perryville.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday, December 16th, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation continues from 6:30-1-:50 a.m. Saturday, December 17th at the funeral home.

A funeral for 84-year-old Leslie H. Johnson of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17th, 2011 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Dowler will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Home Cemetery. American Legion Post 133 and the Missouri Delta Team will provide military graveside honors.
