Jones, Robert Gene
SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Robert Gene Jones, 82, of Sedgewickville died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son of Raymond Monroe and Nellie Sadie Baker Jones.
Robert was a retired carpenter.
He served his country proudly during World War II and the Korean conflict.
Survivors include a son, Tim W. Jones of Sedgewickville; a brother, Larry Jones of the state of Missouri; two sisters, Geraldine Middleton and Carolyn Hopper of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Brad, Doug and Chase Jones of Sedgewickville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joel Leonard and Hubert; and a sister, Jewell Kemp.
Liley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- A memorial service for Robert Gene Jones will be held by his beloved friend, Addie Lee Barks, at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dongola Friendship Baptist Church. The Rev. Harold Sitze will officiate.
