Kaminskey, Thomas L.

Thomas L. "Tom" Kaminskey, 80, of Jackson passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

Tom suffered several years from Parkinson's disease and resided the past year at Jackson Manor.

He was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Jackson to Alvin and Clara Diamond Kaminskey. He and Shirley Seabaugh were married Sept. 5, 1959, in Sedgewickville, Missouri.

Tom attended St. Paul Lutheran School. He was a lifelong farmer. He worked 34 years at the former Lenco in Jackson and then became a self-employed truck driver. He and Shirley attended Connection Point Church in Jackson.

Tom's favorite activities were camping, boating, horseback riding and farming.

Loving survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley of Jackson; three children, Doug (Gina) Kaminskey, Tracy (Melissa) Kaminskey and Dee Curl, all of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Cammie (Trent) Essner and children Paxton and Finley, Chelsea Kaminskey and fiance Kellen True, Dustin Kaminskey and daughter Kimber, Dylan and Paige Kaminskey, Savannah and Dawson Curl, all of Jackson; and a sister, Doris (Norman) Birk of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Mann officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
