Kinnison, Andrew Eldridge
Andrew Eldridge Kinnison, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Asherville, Mo., to William S. and Nancy E. Hedge Kinnison. He and Iola Marie Fischer Kinnison were married June 27, 1953, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death March 21, 2000.
Eldridge was a shipping clerk at Florsheim Shoe for 33 years and was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruann Parker (Victor) of Aurora, Colo., and Melinda Whitticre (Larry) of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Carl Kinnison (Christy) and Dale Kinnison (Lora), both of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Virgie Hendershott of Cape Girardeau, Juanita Pogue (McCoy) of Marble Hill, Mo., and Dorothy London of Morris, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Randy (Angela) Whitticre and daughter, Avery, of Cape Girardeau, Jennifer (Shawn) Royle and son, Louis, of Gordonville, Erica (William) Baird and children, Brian and Olivia, of Aurora, Colo., Sarah Kinnison of Denver, Andrew Kinnison and son, Domanik, of Cape Girardeau, Angela Kinnison of Cape Girardeau, Amy Kinnison of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Faith Kinnison of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Maledy, Alice Shell and Lorene Masters; one brother, Dale Kinnison; and his parents and wife.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cathedral.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers will be Amy Kinnison, Victor Parker, Larry Whitticre, Randy Whitticre, Shawn Royle and Andrew Kinnison.
Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Mary Cathedral Capital Campaign.
