Kirchdoerfer, Albert C.
Albert C. Kirchdoerfer, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, son of George and Bertha Hoefler Kirchdoerfer. He and Marie E. Frank were married Oct. 14, 1950. She died Oct. 24, 1992.
Mr. Kirchdoerfer had worked for Drury Construction. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Knights of Columbus Council 1111, and Labor Local 1104.
He was a corporal in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, George and Ellen Kirchdoerfer of Gordonville; a brother, Leon Kirchdoerfer of Chaffee, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kate, Adam and Tara Kirchdoerfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, followed by Knights of Columbus rosary.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, with military honors by Delta Team.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School or Missouri Veterans Home.
