Klaus, Violet Ruth (nee Ruppel)

A funeral will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 for 87-year-old Violet Ruth Klaus of Friedheim who died May 20, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 3, 1924 in Oak Ridge, daughter of the Alfred and Lydia (Ruesler) Ruppel who both preceded her in death.

She married Milford W. Klaus on July 22, 1945.

He preceded her in death on November 23, 2011.

She is survived by two daughters: Donna (Gilbert) Bock, Jr. of Uniontown and Karen Mangels of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren: Shaun (Kym) Bock, Dawn (Andy) Walkup, Dana (Jeff) Seibel, Jeffrey (Melissa) Mangels, Kevin Mangels, and Matthew Mangels and seven great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and worked at N.F. Klaus family business.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, 4-H Leader, a church worker and Sunday school helper.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 22 and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 23.

A funeral for 87-year-old Violet Ruth Klaus of Friedheim will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating.

Burial will be held in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
