PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Floyd R. Klobe, 92, of St. Louis, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 6:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday, and rosary at 10 a.m. Tuesday..

Floyd R. Klobe, 92, of St. Louis, MO died August 20, 2014 at MO Veterans Home in St. James, MO.

He was born April 16, 1922 in Sereno, MO, son of Emil John and Louise Mathilda (Schroeder) Klobe.  He and Mary A. “Gussie” Bauer were married October 29, 1949.  She preceded him in death on August 9, 2012. 

Floyd had been a mechanic for General Electric in St. Louis, MO.   He was a member of the catholic faith, VFW Post 5077 in O’Fallon, and an US Army veteran of WW II.

Other survivors include three sons, Wayne (Susan) Klobe of St. Louis, Paul (Diane) Klobe of O’Fallon, MO, Dennis (Sandi) Klobe of Gerald; three daughters,  Darlene Klobe of High Ridge, Arlene (Bryan) Capkovic of Fenton, Laraine (Rick) Schodrowski of Cedar Hill; one sister, Eileen “Tootie” Walter of Perryville; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Terry and Larry Klobe; one brother, Harold Klobe; and three sisters, Mary McCrary, Mary Helen Klobe, and Betty LaRose.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25 at Young & Sons Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with parish wake at7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 26 from 6:30 to 11:00 am with Rosary at 10:00 am..  He will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for Mass at 11:30 am with Rev.  Milton Ryan CM officiating.  Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery with military graveside honors provided by VFW Post 4282 & MO Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to MO Veterans Home in St. James, MO.
