Knapp, Ersie V. (nee Mungle)
Ersie V. Knapp, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1914, at Patton, Mo., daughter of James Isaac and Susan Caroline Reeder Mungle. She and H. Howard Knapp were married Feb. 22, 1936, at Jackson. He died Jan. 10, 2001.
Knapp had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1936. She was a member of First Church of God and taught Sunday School at the former Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jim Knapp of Whitewater; two daughters, Elaine Shirrell of Cape Girardeau, Pamela Mahoney of McClure, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
