Koehler, Mary Bell (nee Baugh)
Mrs. H.C. Koehler Dies At Jackson Home; Has Three Sons in Army
JACKSON, July 8 - Mrs. Mary Bell Koehler, wife of H.C. Koehler, died at the family home
three miles east of Jackson, at 12:30 a.m. today, after a long illness resulting from
paralytic attacks. The body was removed to the Wilson-Statler-Seabaugh Funeral Home, but
funeral arrangements have not been made.
Mrs. Koehler, whose maiden name was Baugh, was born near Jackson, Dec. 13, 1887, and lived
her entire life in the community. On Sept. 24, 1903, she was married to H.C. Koehler, and
since that time they had resided on the farm where she died.
She is survived by her husband, five sons, Pvt. Lawrence Koehler, stationed in New Jersey,
Pvt. Clemens Koehler, at Camp Pickett, Va., Sgt. Charles Koehler at Camp Campbell, Ky.,
Alfred Koehler of Cape Girardeau, and Paul Koehler of Chaffee; five daughters, Mrs. Dewey
Smith, Mrs. George Vinyard, Mrs. Tony Winkler and Mrs. John Horrell of Jackson, and Miss
Opal Marie Koehler, at home; 16 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Irene Golightly of St.
Louis.
