Koenig, Arline (nee Petzoldt)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Arline Koenig, 93, of Perryville, formerly of Frohna, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A funeral will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 for 93-year-old Arline Koenig of Perryville, formerly of Frohna, who died February 1, 2013 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born May 19, 1919 in Altenburg, the daughter of Oscar and Concordia (Lohman) Petzoldt who both preceded her in death.

She married Eldor E. Koenig on February 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1999.

She is survived by a daughter: Korlyn (Eugene) Degenhardt of St. Louis; a son: Dale (Sandy) Koenig of Perryville; a brother: Lewis Petzoldt of Altenburg; four grandchildren: Karl (Debbie) Degenhardt, Kathy Degenhardt Vance, Joseph (Nicole) Koenig, Jessie (Mike) Feldmann; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Leo and Harry Petzoldt; a sister: Dorothy Winter; and one granddaughter: Heather Hornberger.

She had been a home maker.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

She loved farming, gardening and growing flowers.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, February 3 and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Monday, February 4 at the Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

A funeral for 93-year-old Arline Koenig of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. The Rev. Rod Benkendorf will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to United in Christ Lutheran School.
