Koenig, Jean P. (nee Bangert)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Jean P. Koenig, 68, of Perryville, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Perryville, daughter of John and Anna Kaiser Bangert. She and Oliver Koenig were married Nov. 10, 1951, in Perryville.

Koenig was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Koenig of Blanchester, Ohio, and Dennis Koenig of Perryville; two sisters, Geraldine Hughey and Geneva Hughey, both of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Chapel from 4:30 to 9 p.m.today and from 6:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Saturday, July 6th, 2002 for 68-year-old Jean P. Koenig of Perryville who died Wednesday, July 3rd at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born November 7th, 1933 in Perryville, the daughter of John and Anna M. (Kaiser) Bangert, who both preceded her in death.

She married Oliver E. Koenig on November 10th, 1951. He survives in Perryville.

She is also survived by two sons and one daughter in law: Richard Koenig of Blanchester, Ohio and Dennis and Lori Koenig of Perryville.

Two sisters survive: Geraldine Hughey and Geneva Hughey, both of Perryville.

Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Nations and a twin sister, Joan Jones.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be 4:30-9:30 p.m. this (Friday) afternoon and evening and 6:30-11 a.m. Saturday, July 6th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home.
