Douglas Charles Koetting, 50, formerly of Perryville died from natural causes on June 24, 2014 at his home in Newburgh, IN.

He was born July 14, 1963 in Richmond Heights, MO, son of Hubert and Dolores (Schemel) Koetting.

Doug graduated in 1981 from Perryville High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University and ITT Tech. He held a variety of positions within the customer service industry, including Field Service Technician for GTECH Corp. He was a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross, assisting in blood drives, first aid stations, fund raising, and was an official "Team Member of Disaster". He enjoyed and took immense pride in his huge vinyl rock album collection. He had become a staunch Conservative, and an avid Christian, firm in his faith.

Doug is the forever-loved brother of Deborah Denton of Maryland Heights, Dean (Sandy) Koetting of Lubbock, TX, and Denice "Litch" (Leon) Martin of Newburg, IN. He was beloved uncle of Lauren Koetting of Lubbock, TX and Michael Koetting of Austin, TX. He was a cherished nephew of Leonella Coffey and Bernard Koetting, both of Perryville. Doug was also a loving cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Helen "Earlene" (Leslie) Koetting; and one brother, Martin Koetting.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church from 11:30 am until time of Mass at 1:30 pm with Rev. Milton Ryan CM officiating. Burial in St. Boniface Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to funeral expenses.

The Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
