PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marjorie "Berniece" B. Kutscher 96, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at her home. Friends may call from 4 and 8 p.m. today or from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. A funeral will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 for 96-year-old Marjorie "Berniece" B. Kutscher of Perryville who died December 13, 2014 at her residence.
She was born August 28, 1918 in Warren Co. the daughter of Hervey A. and Eva M. Jackson Bryant who both preceded her in death.
She married Hubert Ciyou in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1940.
She married John P. Fritz in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She married Melvin G. Kutscher March 1, 1987. He preceded her in death May 31, 2001.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Hubert A. (Penny) Fritz of Perryville, Eva C. (Mike) Lipe of Perryville, Lorraine F. Woollard of Florissant and John (Carol) Fritz of Wentzville; a daughter in law: Joyce Fritz of Troy; two sisters: Evolee Ferris of Texas and Verna Mae Gowdy of San Clemente, California; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death a son: Arnold A. Fritz, a brother: Buehl B. Bryant; a sister: Ruth E. Smith and a son in law Douglas Woollard III.
Berniece was a teacher of cosmetology.
She was an active member in the Memory Makers Quilt Club in Perryville, and the First Settlement Quilt Club of Ste Genevieve.
A funeral for 96-year-old Marjorie "Berniece" B. Kutscher of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Stan Hargis will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to South East Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
