Landewee, Anthony Joseph "Tony"

KELSO, Mo. — Anthony Joseph "Tony" Landewee, 65, of Kelso passed away, joining his parents in their eternal home Sunday, March 9, 2008.

He was born Jan. 16, 1943, at Leopold, Mo., son of George Anthony and Mary Elizabeth Trankle Landewee. He and Janet Catherine Bisher were married July 10, 1965, at Chaffee, Mo.

Tony was involved in farming, worked in the construction trade as a millwright and most recently worked at Procter & Gamble as a line technician. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

He served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David (Francie) Landewee of Chaffee, Stephen (Malia) Landewee of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Melissa (Eddie) Craft of Jackson, and Vanessa Landewee of Cape Girardeau. The joy of Tony's life was his seven grandchildren, Melinna, Miranda and Austin Craft, Sara and Garrett Landewee, and Grace and Jason Landewee.

He is also survived by five sisters, Betty Kuss of Cape Girardeau, Wilma Wolfenkoehler of Oklahoma City, Mary Ann Hagan of Chaffee, Geraldine Elfrink of Marble Hill, Mo., and Theresa Nenninger of Leopold.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6.

The Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
