Langstadt, Margaret A. (nee Bollinger)

Margaret A. Langstadt, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 29, 1931, at Patton, Mo., daughter of Oscar and Mattie Bollinger. She was married to Foy "Red" Johnson and later to Ralph Langstadt in 1969.

She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and she had a professional career for 35 years. Her most rewarding position was with the Danforth Foundation in St. Louis. As program manager, she traveled around the United States and worked with university deans and presidents to provide educational grants for graduate students.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Langstadt Jr.; and a grandson, Russ Langstadt, both of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Nell Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a brother-in-law, Henry Yount of Sedgewickville, Mo.; two nieces, Karen Wolf of Chester, Ill., Jonna Manes of Lexington, Mass.; two nephews, Henry Yount Jr. of Rodney, Mich., and Bob Johnson of Lee's Summit, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph, who died in 1985; and a sister, Mrs. Henry (Jean) Yount, who died in 2004.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Patton Cemetery.
