She was born July 15, 1935, at Perry County, Mo., daughter of Barney and Clara Lappe Hennemann. She and Virgil Lankford were married Feb. 27, 1954, at Perryville. He preceded her in death...

A funeral will be held Saturday, December 13th, 2008 for 73-year-old Bernetta Lankford of Perryville, who died Tuesday, December 9th at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 15th, 1935 in Perry County, the daughter of Bernard and Clara Lappe Hennemann, who both preceded her in death.
She married Virgil Lankford on February 27th, 1954 in Perryville. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Ronald Lankford of Perryville and Alan and Janie Lankford of Kansas City; a daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Toby Lynn of Jackson; four sisters: Angie Fausz, Jeanette Finger, and Dodie Schlichting, all of Perryville and Lulu Gettinger of Ste. Genevieve; two brothers: Barney Hennemann of St. Louis and Wayne Hennemann of Perryville; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters.
She was a cook at St. Vincent Elementary School in Perryville.
She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Ladies Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary and the Perryville Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, December 12th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday, December 13th at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers with the Ladies Sodality of D of I will be at 7 p.m. Friday. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
A funeral mass for 73-year-old Bernetta Lankford of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 13th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz CM and Joe Williams CM will co-officiate.
Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul School Endowment Fund.
