Laurentius, Lydia A. (nee Unterreiner)
A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 11th, 2001 for 82-year-old Lydia A. Laurentius of Perryville who died Sunday, July 8th at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born September 10th, 1918 in Perry County, the daughter of Bernard and Caroline (Dondlinger) Unterreiner who both preceded her in death.
She married James Laurentius on September 27th, 1947. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters and two sons in law and three sons and daughters in law: James and Sally Laurentius Jr. of St. Louis; Stanley and Connie Laurentius of Cape Girardeau; Gary and Dru Laurentius of Jackson; Linda Spencer of St. Louis; Carol Laurentius of St. Louis; Kenneth and Brenda Krieger of Perryville and Wayne and Debbie Boland of Perryville.
Two sisters also survive her: Frances Kutz and Mildred Hoernig, both of Perryville.
Two special friends also survive: Regina London and Jim Jones.
Nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
She was also preceded in death by one son in law, Rudy Spencer; one brother, Charles Unterreiner; and two sisters: Irene Zoellner and Lucille Grellner.
She was a homemaker and member of the St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle and St. Ann's Sodality.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 10th and from 6:30-9:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 11th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral for 82-year-old Lydia A. Laurentius of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11th at the St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Reverends Mark Bozada and Felipe Martinez will con-celebrate the funeral mass.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes or St. Maurus Catholic Church.
