PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lucius F. Leible, 75, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo. He was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Perry County, Mo., son of Vincent and Helen Sauer Leible. He and Erline Vinson were married Oct. 22, 1955...

A funeral was held this morning (Monday, October 24th, 2005) for 75-year-old Lucius F. Leible of Perryville who died Friday, October 21st at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.

He was born September 11th, 1930 in Perry County, the son of Vincent and Helen (Sauer) Leible, who both preceded him in death.

He married Earline Vinson on October 22nd, 1955. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by two sons and daughters in law, Randy and Teresa Leible and Rodney and Dawn Leible, all of Perryville; a son in law, Carl Suhr of Jackson; a brother, Vincent Leible Jr. of Perryville; a sister, Alma Poll of Perryville; and six grandchildren, Jarrod and Justin Suhr, Amber, Wade, Garrett and Shea Leible.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Suhr; two brothers, Cletus and Bobby Joe and two sisters, Cordulla Baudendistel and Valeria Pecaut.

He had worked at the International Shoe Co. and at Gilster Mary Lee.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post No. 133, Perry County Sportsman Club, and he was a member of VFW Post No. 4282, where he was post commander in 1964 and 1965. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

A funeral for 75-year-old Lucius F. Leible of Perryville was held at 11 this morning at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery with honors provided by the VFW Post No. 4282.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund or to the Church Debt Reduction.

Funeral arrangements were by the Young and Sons Funeral Home.
