Limbaugh, Loy Arnold

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Loy Arnold Limbaugh, 82, of Sedgewickville died Monday, June 18, 2007, at Gulfside Regional Hospice in New Port Richey, Fla.

He was born July 19, 1924, son of Loy Arnold Limbaugh and Hannah Elizabeth Cook. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Arthur Ridings. He and Annie Louise Hayes were married Feb. 12, 1947. She died Nov. 21, 1976.

Limbaugh was a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Millersville.

He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He was awarded the Victory Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, European, African and Middle Eastern Ribbon, two Overseas Bars and Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include a son, Larry Limbaugh of New Port Richey; two daughters, Lynda Cobb of Millersville, Nancy Rocha of Jackson; two sisters, Betty Lambert of Arnold, Mo., Louise Spooler of Gordonville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors to be conducted.
