Limbaugh, Rayford B.

Rayford B. Limbaugh, 88, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born October 5, 1924, in Sedgewickville, son of Morton Burette and Cora Jane Lively Limbaugh. He and Flora Steiner were married December 25, 1955.

Rayford graduated from Sedgewickville High School. He was a farmer all of his life, farming the Limbaugh family farm in his earlier years. The land which his son is now farming, has been in the Limbaugh hands for over 200 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include his wife of Pocahontas; a son, Stephen Limbaugh of Jackson; two sisters, Leona (E.P.) Kurre and Venieda Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; and a sister-in-law, Eula Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Dorinda May and Juelene Limbaugh, two brothers, Joe and Lloyd Linzel Limbaugh.

Friends may call Friday, April 5, 2013 from 4-8 PM at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and on Saturday, from 9:30 AM until service time at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The funeral service will be Saturday, at 10:30 AM, at the church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.

Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the donor’s choice.
