PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Darriell "Tex" Lintner, 56, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edwin J. and Katherine D. Hoehn Lintner. Lintner was a self-employed wood hauler. A funeral will be held Thursday, December 18th, 2003 for 56-year-old Darriell "Tex" Lintner of Perryville who died Monday, December 15th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 9th, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Edwin J. and Katherine D. (Hoehn) Lintner who both preceded him in death.
Survivors include two stepsons and a daughter in law, Jerry and Misty Lukefahr of Perryville and Mark A. Lukefahr of Perryville; three brothers and one sister in law, Donald Lintner of Perryville, Harlan Lintner of St. Louis and Dale and Kathy Lintner of Cadet; and one step grandson, Colton Lukefahr.
A sister, Nelda Hennemann, also preceded him in death.
He was a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the First Cavalry Division-Airmobile 1967-1969, earning three decorations, the Bronze Star, Air Medal and Purple Heart. He was also a member of the River Hills Eagles Aerie No. 4034 in Perryville.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30-10 a.m. Thursday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 56-year-old Darriell "Tex" Lintner of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 18th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside service. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
