Lohmann, Margie Ella (nee Petzoldt)

FARRAR, Mo. -- Margie Ella Lohmann, 72, of Farrar died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born Feb. 15, 1937, in Pocahontas, daughter of Rudolph and Rosalie Kain Petzoldt. She was married Aug. 18, 1956, to Willis A. Lohmann. He preceded her in death July 16, 2006.

Survivors include four daughters, a son, and a daughter-in-law, Barbara (Rodney) Wachter of Altenburg, Mo., Linda (Ron) Best of Uniontown, Mo., Sandra (Keith) Bachmann of Crosstown, Mo., Ronald (Jeannie) Lohmann of Farrar, Diane (John) Meyer of Frohna, Mo., Krystal Lohmann of Perryville, Mo.; two sisters, Mabel Steffens of Frohna, Violet Sanders of Perryville; and a brother, Raymond Petzoldt of Jackson.

Also 15 grandchildren, Nathan (Sara) Best, Rachel (Nick) Emmendorfer, Adam (Jenni) Wachter, Benjamin Wachter, Seth (Jade) Wachter, Thomas Bachmann, Chad Bachmann, Nicholas Meyer, Ryan Meyer, Zachary Meyer, Dustin Hayes, Cody Lohmann, Brett Lohmann, Jennifer Lohmann and Josephine Lohmann; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Best, Haley Emmendorfer, Aaron Wachter and Aubrey Emmendorfer.

Mrs. Lohmann was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar and a former 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Paul Lohmann; a sister, Melba Petzoldt; three brothers, Norman, Marvin and Willman Petzoldt; and two granddaughters, Leslie Joy Wachter and Sarah Renee Bachmann.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church Building Fund.
