Long, Harry N.

JACKSON - Harry N. Long, 46 years old, a long-time employee of the Midwest Dairy Products Co. and president of stockholders of the Jackson Bowling Lanes, died Thursday afternoon at his home, 512 South Colorado, following an illness.

Mr. Long was born in Jackson on Sep. 13, 1920, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Long

On Feb. 9, 1946, he was married to Mrs. Daisy Lewis, who survives.

Mr. Long had been employed by the Midwest Dairy Products Co., Cape Girardeau, since 1940 and was a salesman at the time of his death. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Altenthal-Joerns Post 158, American Legion.

Mr. Long was a Marine Corps World War II veteran and served in the South pacific.

Surviving besides his wife, are a son, Tom Long of the home; two stepsons, Ed Lewis, Jackson, and Jim Lewis, Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Leroy Long, Flat River, and Wm. Long, Jackson; four sisters, Mrs. Iva Looney, Cape Girardeau, Mrs. August Ahrens, Oak Ridge, and Mrs. Pink Hahs and Mrs. Ed Nance, Jackson and three grandchildren.

The body is at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home here. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at First Baptist Church by the Rev. W. Harry Hunt. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Graveside rites will be conducted by the Altenthal-Joerns Post. The body is to be taken to the church at 1 Sunday.
