Lorenz, Eugenia L. (nee Burroughs)
A funeral will be held Saturday, March 24th, 2001 for 89-year-old Eugenia Lorenz of Farrar who died Wednesday, March 21st at the Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born August 25th, 1911 in Frohna, the daughter of Otto and Magdelina (Mueller) Burroughs who both preceded in death.
She married Herbert Lorenz on November 19, 1933. He preceded in death.
She is survived by two daughters and sons in law: Ruby and Arlan Steffens and Nancy and Robert Mantz, both of Farrar.
She is also survived by three sons and two daughters in law: Earl Lorenz and Cheryl and Carol Lorenz, both of Farrar and Verlin and Mona Lorenz of Steelville, Illinois.
Two sisters and two brothers in law also survive: Mildred and Theodore Miesner of Frohna and Alice and Hilmer Palisch of Lakewood, Colorado.
One brother also survives: Marvin Burroughs of Frohna.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
One brother also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League, all in Farrar.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Friday, March 23rd and 6:30-9 a.m. Saturday, March 24th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 89-year-old Eugenia Lorenz of Farrar will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24th, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Capital Improvement Fund or Lutheran Hour.
