Lorenz, Wilbert Emanuel
Funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 for 85-year-old Wilbert E. Lorenz of Perryville who died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000 at PerryOaks Manor.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1915 in Friedheim, the son of the late Joseph Henry and Frieda (Bachmann) Lorenz.
He was married to Lillian L. Schamburg. She survives in Perryville.
Children surviving are Darryl Lorenz of Pine Bluff, Ark.; Dianne Dickerson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Cynthia Massey of Edmund, Okla.
Three brothers and one sister survive: Edgar Lorenz of Stockton, Cal.; Roy Lorenz of Perryville; and Irma Hoffstetter of Perryville.
Three grandchildren also survive: Stephanie Carroll, Jason Farley and Mathew Hookum.
One brother, Omar, and one sister, JoAnn Rudolphi, preceded him in death.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Men’s and Mixed Choir; American Legion Post 133; Commander in 1947; VFW Post 4282, Charter member of Missouri National Guard; MFA; Past President of Congregation; Peace Lutheran Church in Conway, Ark., and Army Veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and on Friday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service for Wilbert E. Lorenz will be held Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Craig Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorial preference is to Immanuel Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
