Lowes, James H.
James H. Lowes, 60, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Friday, June 19, 1953, in Cape Girardeau to Glen E. "Andy" and Arline B. Voshage Lowes.
Jimmy was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School.
He and Kathy Patrice Corse were married Saturday, Aug. 12, 1972, at Iona Baptist Church in Oriole, Missouri.
James H. started working for Cauble & Field in Cape Girardeau and later was a truck driver for C&G in Fruitland. He was a former owner/operator of LMB Produce in Jackson and present owner/operator of Ware Produce in Ware, Illinois.
He was an avid fisherman who loved to fish with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Patrice Lowes of Jackson; three daughters, Ginger M. Malone, Joni P. (Greg) Schemel and Jamie N. (Rick) Eftink, all of Jackson; five grandchildren, Ryan James Malone, Kayla Schemel, Dylan Schemel, Alaina Christine Eftink and Devin Eftink, all of Jackson; sister, Janet L. (Greg) Palmer of Memphis, Tennessee; brothers, Michael G. (Kathy) Lowes of Cuba, Missouri, and Joe L. (Janet) Lowes of Cape Girardeau; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Patsy Voshage of Jackson; sister-in-law Sarah Paige of Seattle; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Gary Lowes.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Donny Ford and Randy Wheaton officiating.
Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to Jackson R-2 School District Foundation, Jackson Noon Optimist, Jackson American Legion Post 158 Boys Baseball or Southeast Hospice.
