PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marvin T. Lukefahr, 87, of Perryville died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and Army veteran of the Korean War.

A memorial Mass will be held Aug. 14 at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, Missouri, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating.

Young and Sons Funeral Home provided the arrangements.

Marvin T. Lukefahr, 87, of Perryville died July 30, 2014 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, MO.

He was born July 13, 1927 in Perry County, MO, son of Theodore and Mary (Valleroy) Lukefahr. 

Mr. Lukefahr was sheriff of Perry County, MO.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, MO  He was a WW II Veteran of the Merchant Marine and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include one daughter and one son, Patricia Schremp of Perryville, Lynn Lukefahr of Highland, MO; one sister, Maudel Balsman of Perryville; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 12:00 Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, MO with Rev. Milton Ryan officiating.   

Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph Cemetery in Highland, MO.
