Marr, David Harold
Funeral service will be held Friday. Feb. 9, 2001 for 76-year-old David Harold Marr, formerly of Perryville, who died Monday, Feb. 5 at his residence.
He was born on July 6, 1924 in Caledonia, Mo., the son of the late John Jay and Stella May (Cluff) Marr.
He was married to Laverne (Schremp) Marr. She preceded him in death in 1942.
He married Anna Elizabeth (Cohea) Marr in 1968. She survives in New Bloomfield, Mo.
Children surviving are Edith Marie Vernon of Festus; Geraldine "Geri" Buchheit of Perryville; and Larry Marr of Perryville.
Three stepsons survive, Terry and Michael Berkbigler, both of lake Ozark, and Steven Berkbigler of Park Hills.
One stepdaughter, Debbie Allen, survives in Tebbetts, Mo.
One brother and three sisters survive, Rev. Joseph T. Marr of Calipatria, Cal.; Gladys E. McGuire of Irondale, Maudie M. Moss of Slater, Mo.; and Mable L. Clark of Piedmont.
Seventeen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive.
Two daughters, Linda Marr and Doris Jean Marr, preceded him in death.
He was a member of Providence Baptist Church in New Bloomfield, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Marr will first rest in state at Debo Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit, Mo. On Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Debo Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 6-9 p.m. and on Friday, Feb. 9 from 6:30 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service will be held at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville on Friday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. Rev. Pete Ruble and Rev. Jack Ruble will co-officiate. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery.
Memorial preference is to the Marr Family.
