BREWER, Mo. -- Charles L. Mattingly, 66, of Brewer died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Mo.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bill Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Charles L. Mattingly of Brewer, MO died Wednesday, December 9 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City. He was 66.

He was born in Perry County, MO on February 18, 1943, son of the late Matt James and Zita (Zahner) Mattingly.

Survivors include four brothers and three sisters: Mary Lou Hall of Union, MO., Alvin (Eline) Mattingly of Brewer, Norma (Harold) Gegg of Ste. Genevieve, Clyde (Carol) Mattingly of Brewer, Ralph (Carol) Mattingly of Festus, Dorothy (Larry) Petzoldt Hutchinson, KS., James (Diane) Mattingly of Arnold, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother in law Elmer Hall.

Mr. Mattingly was a Laborer at Ste. Genevieve Industries, and a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer.

Visitation for Mr. Mattingly will be held at Young & Sons Chapel on Friday, December 11th from 4 – 8 pm with Parish Wake at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 6:30 to 9:15 am. He will then be taken to Christ the Savior Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Bill Rhinehart officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to American Cancer or Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
